VISITOR AMENITIES
Entry fee  of Rs 20 and Rs 10 is being collected from the visitor for adults and children respectively. For the visiting public, facilities such as drinking water modernized  toilet,  tiled and painted sitting benches, rest sheds are provided at several places in the park. The water harvesting  check walls are constructed inside the Zoo  serve as sitting benches in several places. Restaurant, canteen, milk booth and tea stall are being run by Tamil Nadu Tourism Development Corporation,  Aavin and Tantea.  Battery Operated Road trains and  Battery operated Lion safari vans  are being run at nominal charges  of Rs 20 and 10  for adult and children respectively to visit the zoo and the Lion safari. Battery operated   vehicles have been introduced for the first time in India in this park for the visiting public to prevent noise and air pollution.

A road map of AAZP is being provided all bi junction and tri junction of the zoo in order to orient proper routes and direction. White arrow marks painted on the roads serves proper migration of exit and out as a self guide. Zoo brochure and  zoo guide books are also available for purchase.

The zoo receives visitors all the year round, the numbers of visitors is more on Saturdays, Sundays and festival days. The number of vistiors are maximum in January and May of all round the year. The number of visitors is increasing every year and on an average 4500  visitors visit the zoo per day. The visitor statistics for the last five years and the revenue generated is given below. The zoo is opened to the public from 9.00 AM to 5.00 PM in all days except Tuesday.
